First Time Home Buyers

We are on our third property now but I can remember when we were first time home buyers, I can remember being amazed at the low mortgage rate we had, the payments were easy to make each month and left us month that we could save for the future.

Being a first time home buyer is very exciting, mortgage plus have arranged my mortgage loan with one of the top lenders in Ireland and I now can start to look for the perfect property for me to live in. I've signed up to the First Time Buyers email letter so I hope to find a good home that way but the guys at MP are also keeping me updated as to what comes on the market. I hope to be moving very soon.

As we were a young couples I wasn't sure what options there were for us on the market so I contacted mortgage plus to see what they said, It became clear from the beginning that a 100% mortgage was going to be the best way forward for us so we started the ball rolling. My girl friend and I were living in a rented property just outside Dublin and the owner sent us a letter saying that she was going to be selling the property, it was a 2 bedroom semi detached house in a nice road close to all major shops etc, me and my partner had already fallen in love with the home so we decided to get out First Time Buyers 100% mortgage loan and purchases the house ourselves, this meant that we didn't have to pay for removals etc and saved a small fortune. She also let us keep have the furniture so we saved allot of money there too.

The best advice that we could give any new home buyer is to make sure that you work with a good company like mortgage plus, they can take so much of the stress away from you and make the whole deal go allot smoother. I learnt my lesson when I was a First Time Buyers by using some back street mortgage company that promised good rates but didn't deliver them. Some companies will take 2 weeks to do something that mortgage plus will do in a few days.

When we decided to start looking for our first home we seeked special First Time Buyers advice from mortgage plus and they had great answers to all of our questions. It makes things much clearer if you know just what needs to be done and who needs to do it. We also spoke to MP about financial advice as we wanted to make sure we have every corner covered so there was no hidden shocks later down the line. Our home loan was arranged within 3 weeks and we are currently looking for a home.

My family and I have just moved to Ireland from the UK for a better life style and I have too say that you get a much better service in Ireland than you do back in England. Everyone just seems so much nicer and more willing to help. We use to rent our home back in the UK but now we are going to get on the First Time Buyers ladder and purchase our own home. One of the things you must do when searching for a new property or your first home is to get listed within email groups so that you get all the latest adverts that come onto the market place. Its easy to miss a property that could be your dream home.
