Improving Your Home's Value

Your home is more than likely your biggest asset or the biggest bulk of your equity, so its always in your interest to keep your property in a good condition and apply any value improving work.
By building an extra bedroom or kitchen area you will greatly improve your homes value.
Sometimes it is worth re mortgaging your home to pay for the improvements, you could re mortgage your home and have an extra 20000 to spend on home improvements.

The main areas that will improve the value of your home are the kitchen, bedroom, bathrooms etc, Maybe you could knock a spare bedroom into a second bathroom or add a cupboard space to the kitchen area and make it bigger that way.

If you are planning to sell in the near future it’s always a good idea to have your house decorated and fix any small features you think could make the house look more inviting to the viewers. Painting the bedrooms and living areas can make a big difference when selling. If you have old door handles it is a good idea to change them to some more modern ones or plug sockets, sometimes it’s the small things you do that will sell a property.
